Renovation of a two-bedroom flat in Wandsworth Town, South London. The design sought to take advantage of the flat’s location opposite a seventeenth century Huguenot burial ground and the Italianate 1888 Board of Works building by removing an existing wall to create a large open plan kitchen and living area facing the fine views north. Construction revealed the poor state of the nineteenth century building fabric, necessitating a number of repairs to the plaster and lathe walls in order to comply with current building regulations.
